I haven’t touched the blog since Thanksgiving and I wasn’t sure if I was going to try and write two of them this month with a typical Christmas message and then a year-end blog.
But I guess I don’t know until I start writing. So here we are. Tomorrow is Christmas Eve 2021. It looks like Covid did the typical business move and said hey, I’m just circling back to make sure I got everyone because two of my band members are sick, a few more have the flu and holy shit Merry Christmas! It’s not just my band as well, it seems like it’s circle back for everybody around me. My vaccinated friends seem to be getting it, the one thing I am noticing is they are not hospitalized. In a small group of us, two of us had Covid over a year ago and did not get it again. Only one of us is fully vaxed. So honest to God it’s so hard to figure this shit out I don’t know how anyone does it. Statistically it just doesn’t make sense to me but I don’t claim to know more than doctors and scientists so I follow their lead. Seriously what else are we supposed to do. Everyone will be fine by New Year’s Eve but I feel bad that they have to suffer over the holidays. I did that over Thanksgiving last year and it sucked.
This month I did want to drop a couple pounds, but the most important thing to me was to get on the Peloton and ride the bike every single day from 10 to 20 minutes, today is December 23 and I have done just that so far. We will talk more about that in the next blog.
For now a quick reflection…
This time last year I had just gotten over Covid, was unemployed, the band wasn’t playing, and I was ending the year in crazy uncertainty, but I had a plan. A year later I have a job, the band is working, and like everyone else just doing my best. Christmas just hits different anymore. So honestly I will leave it at that today.
So this is Christmas.
I wanna stop and say happy Christmas.
I hope that everyone who really loves you will be around you.
We don’t even sign the Christmas cards anymore, but still I hope you know, I’m glad to know you.
I hope you have a good one.
