I hope everyone had a great Easter ya know if you celebrate. If you don’t then I hope it was a weekend filled with laughter, love and Harry Potter.
It’s amazing how we’ve been digging through this covid shit for over a year now. I can really go on and on about that but I won’t. I can’t anymore.
It’s been a good week since I last wrote. Easter Sunday brought both my kids, daughter in law and the first time all of us have been together at one table in a long time. Both my boys are something else let me tell ya.
Since I started the Carbon Diet App on March 26th I am down 14lbs. Yeah I am a little shocked too. My new weigh in/check in days are on Friday Mornings and I would usually blog that day but Fridays just seem too damn busy so I am hoping to post new thoughts every Monday and guess what? Today is not Monday cause I got distracted.
I am still doing Keto which sucks cause Amber made the best homemade mashed potato I ever had today, and weighing out 3/4 of a cup sucked BUT this is why I have lost the weight I have lost. I know some was water weight after being away in Florida and flying but I actually went and came back the same weight. I wasn’t happy with either. But I got up, weighed myself, exhaled and got to it.
So what is this diet app. Well answer the usual questions, plug in your weight, body fat, how much you work out, how much you move at work, and how much you wanna lose a week. (It won’t let you try for more than 3 pounds and actually gets mad at you if that’s what you pick).
You then have a choice of diet so you can get those macros to use :
Balanced
Low carb
Keto
Low fat
Plant based
It will then give you your macros and calories to hit every single day. The app and coach want you to be compliant. That’s the goal. And guess what there is no eh…. Leaving 400 calories on the table. The goal is to eat it all to hot your macros and at the end of the week when you check in with the coach, you are compliant.
I was not compliant last week because I ate and drank like mad in wildwood and didn’t track Friday and Saturday. So my calories and macros stayed the same.

So most nights I feel like a mad scientist along this all work and trying to get to zero across the board. I have not been able to have a perfect day yet and I think it’s impossible BUT it averages out the week so if you are a little over today you can eat a little less tomorrow. I had to bank 14 carbs from yesterday and will need to steal 15 from tomorrow to make today perfect and that’s okay. I am a mad scientist and can figure this out.
The app is 10 a month and the coach check in is once a week – not only do you Use it to lose fat but also to reverse diet and most importantly to figure out your maintenance and resting metabolism so like anything else you need to feed it info.
I can’t believe I just wrote all that but I wants you to know what I am doing and why.
I can do your macros. I can do mine. But when my calculations would come out to 1800 calories I would freak out and make them 1500 so I’ve been on starvation calories for more than I need to be and then I let my self control run out or thin. This ends ups being a game for me. I know it’s only $10 bucks but I don’t like wasting money and I don’t like losing so little by little we keep chipping at it. Amber is doing well too.
The big test will be going to the shore for band shows this weekend and logging. I will do what I have to and log whatever the best I can at this point but I will do it.
My workouts are on point and I know it’s only a few days in but I am hitting my April goals.
I am not doing crazy rides. We went to the park and walked a few times. I am doing a mix of home workouts and hitting the gym. I know since having Covid in November I haven’t pushed the weight to hard but this week I’m gonna try and do 4 sets of things with the 4th being heavier weight shy I won’t get a full set it but confuse my muscles.
I start my new job in 7 days and will be in the office at least the first few days – I need to figure out what I am going to wear – do I Hide my arms for awhile – take out my earrings. Yes ,all these things I think about.
I bought a new laptop messenger bag and some supplies. I even ordered a few photos of the family for my desk that I’ll bring their sooner or later. No I am not excited in the least – ha!
I am gonna keep chipping away.
